El Dorado State Park
El Dorado, KS

May 2017 we lost Ramon. In the beginning, we ran on Ramon & Betty's property. Ramon took such pride in having us on his land. After his death, with Betty's permission, we are proud to rename this race the Ramon Criss Storm the Dam Trail Run presented by W Investments.
The Ramon Criss Storm the Dam Trail presented by W Investments is a chip-timed trail run that winds through
El Dorado Lake State Park. The race consists of three races; the half marathon, 10K & 5K. Runners will start out going UP the DAM, then depending on race distance, use the Teter Nature Trail; along with a challenging single-track trail. Depending on rainfall expect some wet and muddy crossings.
Grassy moderate rolling hills of the Boulder Bluff horse trail await you next, work your way through the Walnut Ridge Trail before crossing the finish line near the amphitheater.
Course limit is 4 hours
No bicycles, automobiles, roller skates, rollerblades, skateboards, baby joggers, or animals are allowed on the course.
Aid stations placed 3ish miles apart. Each station awaits you with food and hydration. There are NO CUPS at the aid stations.
